After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” — Revelation 7:9-10. Pastor Ben tells us that this is the “Thesis of the Bible”, if you will. To be sure, mankind has an issue, and that issue is sin. The Bible is the narrative of God’s plan to redeem mankind from the wickedness that so easily besets us all. It is the story of salvation. And that salvation belongs to our God. It is not yours, nor is it mine. We can never earn it. We can never be good enough to deserve it. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. — Romans 6:23.
