The word propitiation occurs 4 times in the ESV translation of the New Testament. Similar translations will call it sacrifice of atonement, which is basically what it means. When we talk of atonement, we are talking about the death of Jesus Christ in our place and for our sins. Do you believe that you are a sinner, and that Jesus is the proptiation for your sins? Do you believe the Bible is the absolute truth and the Word of God? If so, is your life changing as you walk with God? You cannot meet Jesus and not change.
