Are you hiding from God’s voice? Sin causes us to hide from the Father, but His is a loving voice that is to be delighted in. Are you afraid of what you may hear? Obedience to the Voice of God is the greatest, and only worthy pursuit in the Christian walk. Without obedience, a right relationship with God is not possible, is it? When asked of the greatest commandment, Jesus tells us that, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” (Matthew 22:37). How can we love without listening? God is speaking, and He’s speaking to you. More than anything else, you need to hear what He is saying; not only in the good times, but especially in times of suffering. Are you listening?
